Glynn House Inn: Five Star Trip Advisor Review from Sarah

Many thanks to Sarah who took the time to share her experience with other travelers.  The reviewer clearly enjoyed the Inn, our breakfasts and the hospitality.  Our local restaurant / pub -  a five minute walk -  is a favorite for many of our guests. The local area – particularly during the foliage season – is truly magnificent, as Sarah suggests.

“superbly nostalgic & delightfully friendly” Reviewed September 17
“ Having once lived in the area, this trip was simply to revisit old stomping grounds and enjoy the White Mountains in the fall—a quick getaway with a special person to share it with. I was familiar with a handful of other commercial hotels in Plymouth and Ashland, but when I came across the Glynn House Inn while perusing for other options online, I knew this would be the best choice for the experience we were seeking.

The Glynn House was everything and more. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted warmly by Pam, and the delicious scent of baked goods. There was a comfort to the environment, and my co-pilot and I were able to relax almost immediately after our long drive and hike. The Harrison room was intimate and cozy, eastern-facing, with a fireplace and four-poster bed. The shower is exposed, while the toilet is not. This was fine for us, however if you and your traveling companions are not comfortable with such arrangements, I would check in to which rooms they do offer with a little more privacy.

Only one other room was occupied during our stay, which was great. Breakfast was served by Pam’s worldly husband Glenn (yes, this is a family-run business), and my co-pilot said, he liked the fact he was able to go downstairs and have pancakes in his socks. For dinner, we had walked into town, which was practically around the corner, and ate at the Common Man Restaurant. Pam had recommended the upstairs pub, and just as I remembered it they still had local music on Sundays (til 8ish). They have however, put in a couple new pool tables, leading to a friendly competition of billiards.

Overall, the Glynn House and the innkeepers, Pam, Glenn, and Ingrid were an utter delight. I will definitely consider them in the future, and recommend their B&B to anyone traveling through the area. It is just so nice to go back to a place you hold dearly in your heart, but it is even nicer to turn to your friend and confidently say, See why I loved this place so much?”

The romantic Glynn House Inn – situated in the heart of New Hampshire’s spectacular lakes and mountains – offers guests an exceptional experience. A full gluten free breakfast menu is always available. Bring your favorite four-footed canine pal on holiday too and reserve one of five pet friendly rooms. Venture away from the Inn and antiquing, art galleries, boating, fine dining, fishing, golf, hiking, historic sites, ‘tax free’ shopping and scenic drives along tranquil country roads.
