This elegant Moffatt-Ladd House and Garden www.glynnhouse.com/area/id22.htm was completed in 1763. Captain Moffatt was a merchant-trader. Of interest are original family furnishings, many pieces of furniture made in the Portsmouth area, a captain's walk on the roof, finely carved details throughout, and examples of rare hall and chamber wallpaper. Alexander Hamilton Ladd designed the present form of the Moffatt-Ladd garden in the mid-19th Century.
