Glynn House Inn: Steven Wright – Oct 6th

Known for his deadpan delivery, Steven Wright www.glynnhouse.com/calendar/#october_2012_1  has built up quite a following on his stand up alone.  He did not break into the big screen or the sitcom circuit like most comedians of his time, but he did manage to win an Oscar for his short “The Appointments of Dennis Jennings”. He began performing stand-up in the late 70’s in the Boston comedy clubs and by 1982 he made his first of nine appearances on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.”  Wright’s screen debut came in 1985 as Larry Stillman the dentist in “Desperately Seeking Susan.”  From here he appeared in a handful of movies including “Reservoir Dogs,” “So I Married An Axe Murderer” and he was the voice of a turtle named, ironically, Speed in the animated children’s film “The Swan Princess.”
