Glynn House Inn: Annie – Oct 18th

It's a hard-knock life for spunky, red-haired orphan Annie http://www.glynnhouse.com/calendar/#october_2012_1_1, who resides at the Municipal Orphanage in New York City. Annie is the one voice of hope for her fellow orphans who are under the supervision of the tyrannical Miss Hannigan. Dreaming of reuniting with her parents, Annie briefly escapes to the streets, where she befriends a stray dog that she names Sandy. Caught and returned to the orphanage, Annie barely misses a beating, when Grace Farrell, secretary to billionaire politician Oliver Warbucks, arrives. In order to improve his image, Warbucks is looking for a child to spend Christmas at his mansion. Farrell decides the scrappy red-haired orphan would be just perfect.

Once at the mansion, Annie charms the staff as well as the seemingly cold-hearted Warbucks and experiences her most wonderful Christmas - ever... and the beginning of a whole new life. When describing her love for Annie, Music Director Kathy Fink expresses the universal sentiment for one of America's most beloved musicals. "Despite harsh challenges and obstacles, Annie's enthusiasm and optimism for life is contagious and the songs are infectious!" Annie, an ROH Production, is directed by Kelli Connors with live music directed by Kathy Fink. Don't miss a terrific evening at the Rochester Opera House.
