Glynn House Inn: Conway Scenic Railroad

On the Conway Scenic Railway http://www.glynnhouse.com/area/id24.htm, visitors enjoy an old-
fashioned railroading experience on vintage trains, all departing from an 1874 Victorian Station in the heart of North Conway Village. Whether you choose one of the Valley routes from Conway to or Bartlett, or the legendary Crawford Notch excursion, this is step back in time that delights everyone.

All trains are powered by diesel electric locomotives for most of the season and by a self-propelled Budd Rail Diesel Car midweek in May and late October. A steam locomotive provides power mid-September through Columbus Day.

During the foliage season, Conway Scenic Railway journeys offer particularly spectacular scenic vistas. Travelers will be amazed and delighted by the palette of colors highlighted by a backdrop of amazing mountain scenery. Advanced reservations are recommended during the fall. The railway station is approximately one hour from the Inn.  The following You Tube video provides a terrific introduction to the journey - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEfwp9n8HY4
