“Weekend visit at Glynn House Inn” Reviewed July 14, 2013
“My girlfriend and I visited the Glynn House Inn to look at local areas to move to. Glenn personally greeted us at the door asking us if we had any dietary limitations or allergies come breakfast. Personally walked us through the beautiful house showing us the dining room and sitting room where menus, drinks, and hors d'oeuvres were located. As he showed us into the room it was extremely clean stocked with waters and candies along with the beautiful roses I had requested for the girlfriend. We stayed in the Taft Room, which had a comfortably cool temperature with the ceiling fan on, and the option to a fireplace, which in July did not see any use during our stay. There was a sheet with information pertaining to tea and coffee across the room come morning, breakfast at 8:30am, along with other items such as movie library available till 7pm. There was more than enough lighting in the room along with DirecTV. This is a charming home with age so floor boards creaking is to be expected though never an issue. It was possible to hear people in the hallway entering or leaving the rooms but again nothing of concern. Though we only saw the other guests at check-in or breakfast they were extremely polite and kind. Breakfast here was something to look forward to as the plethora of food and drink was as pleasing as the care and love that was put into the food we ate. Glenn being a very educated and kind man would always take the time in the morning to find out our plans or lack of plans for the day and advise us on places to visit or eat at. I would like to make this a point, if he advises you to go visit somewhere...do it. He advised us to visit Six Burner Bistro which was amazing along with Castle in the Clouds, which had amazing views and a great lunch menu. He would also furnish us with maps of the roads or hiking paths along with any other things he thought we would enjoy. This being our first time at a Bed and Breakfast, Glenn and Pam have raised the bar with their handwork and customer service. This is a B&B that has owners who get it and care. There was never any questions, comments, or concerns Glenn did not answer without an onslaught of answers and advice. The only negative to our stay honestly was the bar of soap, just always felt soapy no matter how much you washed it off. With that being the only complaint if you can even call that one take the time and visit this inn. You won't regret it! Thank you Pam and Glenn!”

Glynn House Inn: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum – Jul 30 & Aug 11

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum http://www.glynnhouse.com/calendar/#july_2013 is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart. Inspired by the farces of the ancient Roman playwright Plautus (251–183 BC), specifically Pseudolus, Miles Gloriosus and Mostellaria, the musical tells the bawdy story of a slave named Pseudolus and his attempts to win his freedom by helping his young master woo the girl next door. The plot displays many classic elements of farce, including puns, the slamming of doors, cases of mistaken identity (frequently involving characters disguising themselves as one another), and satirical comments on social class. The title derives from the line that vaudeville comedians often used to begin a story: “A funny thing happened on the way to the theater”.

Glynn House Inn: Trip Advisor Review – “Really Lovely”

Pet owners love our five pet friendly rooms.  They often tell us how surprised they are to find elegant
décor and squeaky clean surroundings.  People who don’t bring pets don’t ever  find any hint of a previous pet resident because there isn’t any.  We wish you’d told us you wanted air conditioning! Outside temperatures were cool, so the system wasn’t’ switched on. We have A/C in 100% of our rooms. It keeps guests cool on the hottest days! We look forward to seeing you again.

http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g29729-d79113-r166523361-Glynn_House_Inn-Ashland_New_Hampshire.html
“The Glynn House was perfect! My husband and I were in the area for a concert, and we brought our mastiff with us. Families traveling with dogs stay in the house in the back, so that people with pet allergies are not bothered. Our room was large, clean, and very cozy. The owners went out of their way to help us with directions and recommendations for day trips. Breakfast was delicious and filling! They were also incredibly sweet to our dog. The only negative I can think of is the lack of A/C. We would certainly go back!”

“A last minute, get out of the heat trip to Ashland, NH and the many lakes and rivers in which to swim brought us to The Glynn House Inn. We were greeted by Glenn, one of the owners of the inn, who showed us around the Inn and to our room. One of the things that stays in my mind were all the little things; soft drinks, mixed nuts, pretzels and hard candy always available. Also available is an extensive DVD borrowing library. Though our room was small and did not have a closet I would recommend this place to anyone.
Oh, and did I mention the great breakfast with more then 6 meals to select from. when we return to the Ashland area we will be sure to book a room here.”
